Complete Concreting Solutions for Every Property

Every concrete project comes down to two decisions: what you're building and how you want it to look. At AZ Concreting, we handle both. Choose the application your property needs, such as a driveway, slab, patio or path. Then choose a finish that suits your home and budget, from practical plain concrete to premium exposed aggregate.

The same foundations on every job

Whatever the project, every job gets the same foundations: proper excavation, a compacted base, correct falls for drainage, steel reinforcement and control joints to manage cracking.

Concrete Finishes: How It Looks

  • Close-up of plain concrete with a broom finish

    Plain Concrete

The most affordable finish. Classic grey concrete with a broom finish for grip or a smooth finish for a clean look.

  • Close-up of coloured concrete

    Colour Concrete

Oxide pigment mixed through the whole pour for rich, consistent colour that complements your home's exterior.

  • Close-up of exposed aggregate concrete showing natural stone

    Exposed Aggregate Concrete

The top layer is washed back to reveal natural stone, creating a premium, textured, slip-resistant surface.

Concreting Services FAQs

Still have a question?

We're open 7 days, 8am to 9pm.

Can you remove my old concrete before pouring new concrete?

Yes. We can break up and remove existing concrete, pavers or asphalt as part of your project. This is included in your quote as a separate line item.

How thick should a concrete driveway or slab be?

It depends on the use. Residential driveways are commonly around 100mm to 125mm thick with steel reinforcement. Slabs vary depending on the load and any engineering requirements. We'll confirm the right specification during your quote.

Can you combine different finishes on one project?

Absolutely. A popular option is an exposed aggregate driveway with plain concrete side paths, which gives you a premium look where it matters most while keeping costs down.

Will my concrete crack?

Concrete naturally shrinks as it cures. That's why we install control joints, which guide any cracking into straight, neat lines. A compacted base, correct reinforcement and proper curing all reduce the risk of unwanted cracks.

How long does a typical concreting job take?

Most residential jobs like driveways and patios take 2 to 4 days from preparation to pour, depending on size, access and weather. Your quote will include an expected timeframe.

Do you seal concrete?

Yes. We recommend sealing coloured and exposed aggregate concrete to protect the finish, enhance colour and make cleaning easier.
